Injection molding. Kinds

For the production of plastic products of different types, different methods and methods are used. The most common are extrusion (extrusion) and injection molding. The second method makes it possible to obtain products of complex configuration, inaccessible for extrusion. Casting is used for both thermoplastic polymers and thermoplastics (with some restrictions).

Equipment for processing different types of plastics is different. For thermoplastics, injection molding machines TPA are used, while for thermoplastics, injection molding machines of a completely different design. The pressure in the injection molding machine during polymer casting reaches 800 - 1400 bar (80 - 140 MPa). But most manufacturers use machines with a working pressure of up to 100 MPa, considering this value to be quite sufficient to form a durable and dense product.

The machines are equipped with a screw or piston pressure boosting system. The piston type of machines received a “rebirth” after 2010, when the requirements for the accuracy of product shapes increased. But the majority of products from thermoplastics are still produced on screw machines, as they are more productive and easy to operate and set up.
